Visit the Wheel of Women

Celebrate International Women’s Day by visiting our Wheel of Women installation! The large tile circle at the south base of the George C. King Bridge contains the names of thirty incredible Calgarian women and their contributions to our city.

International Women’s Day at Fort Calgary

Head over to Fort Calgary to learn about the diverse stories of women on their site and in our city, past and present. This family-friendly program will offer Calgarians an opportunity to celebrate the women in their lives, and reflect on how women’s experiences have changed over time.

Scotiabank Backbeat presents: International Women's Day

On International Women's Day, celebrate the women who play a role in Calgary's music and arts community alongside festivities happening around the world! Enjoy a performance from local singer-songwriter Amelie Patterson and learn about the ways women are shaping music in Calgary during a panel discussion. NMC will also be hosting a donation drive for the Women’s Centre of Calgary.

International Women’s Day: The Word from Girls
