CHIX EGGSHOP AT ALT HOTEL
Connie DeSousa and John Jackson, co-chefs and owners of Charcut Roast House and Charbar at the Simmons, are taking the world of early-morning eggs to a whole new level with their new Chix Eggshop.This “fast-fine diner” will offer counter service–only breakfast and lunch at their quirky, nostalgic new spot in the Alt Hotel.
BARSHOKU AND NUPO AT ALT HOTEL
Celebrated chef Darren MacLean, of Shokunin and The Final Table fame, went twice as big at the Alt Hotel, opening two dining spots side by side. Barshoku is an upscale fin-to-scale concept celebrating fish and locally grown vegetables. Attached to Barshoku is Nopu, an eight-seat fine-dining bar where guests can experience a one-on-one, free form chef-tasting menu.

5th & THIRD is the heart of urban format retail in East Village. The 230,000 square foot shopping centre is under construction and will bring a Loblaws, Scotiabank, TD Canada Trust and Winners to EV, with other retailers to be announced soon. Exterior construction will be complete by the end of 2019 with stores opening Q1 2020.
