East Village has become a mixed-use neighbourhood that some 4,000 Calgarians already call home—residents live in a wide range of condominium homes and multi-family rental apartments with retailers on the streets below.

We are for leaders, disruptors and visionaries—we are home to the Platform Innovation Centre, the front door of the innovation community, and the Central Library who supply resources to open the doors of innovation to all. We're building the city's future in East Village.
The community offers gathering places for all ages and walks of life. The Crossroads playground is a favourite for young Calgarians, while abundant pocket parks provide welcoming spots for visitors and residents. Soon an urban market—5th & THIRD—will offer a Loblaws and other major retailers. Architecture enthusiasts will want to check out the Central Library and the striking Studio Bell, home of the National Music Centre.
