Curling Bonspiel

Confluence Plaza

If you haven't curled at St. Patrick's Island yet, our bonspiel on Saturday, January 21 is the perfect time to try it out!

In the curling world, bonspiel means 'tournament', so we'll have everything you'll need on the 21st for an epic face-off! Hot chocolate will keep you warm, music will keep you pumped, and the scoreboard will keep everyone honest - just in case things get heated.

On St. Patrick's Island, our version of curling is slightly different than the real thing, but every bit as fun. The single sheet of synthetic ice is 10.7m x 2m with a house on either end. There are a total of 8 rocks that you can divvy up into teams, or use solo to hone your skills.

To access Confluence Plaza, you can walk or bike from East Village or Bridgeland via the George C. King Bridge. You can also drive to the island via Baines Bridge off Memorial Drive east.
