Join Raw Canvas for a special edition Valentine's Day experience! Come with friends or your sweetie for an adult outing, creating delicious gnocchi and an art piece made (with love) by you!

GNOCCHI:

Upon your arrival at Raw Canvas you will be met by Chef Marina (The Spice Chica). After learning the art of dough making and kneading, the fun starts when you make pillowy pasta with your own hands.  Take home your prepared gnocchi to cook and eat with loved ones. This is a beginner class.

ART:

Bring out the artist in you! Your Master Artist will show you and your partner step-by-step techniques for your 8x10 masterpiece. You’ll each make one painting. No experience necessary – canvas and paint are included.

FOOD and DRINK: Free appies, house wine, and a tasty tiramisu to finish your night. Cash bar available.

NMC’s popular late-night series returns with special headlining performances by A Tribe Called Red, Smalltown DJs, and DJ Heather, as well as selections from DJ and Chapel Sound co-founder Nancy Lee and Calgary break-beatsmith MollyFi. Bring your most comfortable dancing shoes as NMC turns down the lights and turns up the tunes. This will not your typical night at the museum.

On Saturday, November 3, Calgary Transit will be free from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. Starting at 9:00 am on Saturday, enjoy performances outside the Library with a cup of hot chocolate. Explore all the levels of the Library with lots of special activities, including an Indigenous Dance, building tours, Pied Piper Storytimes, and science demonstrations.

Join Calgary Public Library on Sunday for the last day of the Family Fun Weekend, to enjoy outside performances and plenty of fun activities inside, too. From creating community art to writing a letter to the building, along with exploring the new tech spaces and reading nooks, there’s lots to do! And whenever you need a little extra fuel, there are nine food trucks parked on 8 Avenue SE (noon to 5 pm).
