Celebrate spring with community yoga classes starting April 22.
We are breathing new life into East Village this spring and summer with Yoga in the Village – a free community yoga program in partnership with Lululemon and some of Calgary’s leading yoga practitioners.
Reconnect with East Village through a series of community events and classes commencing this month and running throughout the summer. Classes will be hosted in the historic Simmons Building and on the RiverWalk Outlooks –one of Calgary’s most tranquil settings along the mighty Bow River.
The program will kick-off in April with One More Breath –a special 2-class program led by Calgary’s Jeff Mah. The all-level karma classes will be held in our beloved historic Simmons Building on April 22nd and 29th at 9:30-11am.
Jeff began the One More Breath program in 2010 as way to connect people with a zest for life in spaces rich with history and heritage. Now celebrating its one-year anniversary, we are thrilled to be hosting two classes in East Village.
One More Breath classes are open to all participants and admission is by donation to raise funds for Friends of Kananaskis and our EV neighbour, the Calgary Drop-in Centre.
Come celebrate with us April 22nd and 29th at 9:30am. Visit the EV Facebook page to learn more.
East Village, in partnership with Lululemon, will also be hosting Flow in the Dark – an evening of music and yoga in the Simmons building May 11th and a regular program of free outdoor community yoga classes on RiverWalk every Saturday and Sunday starting June 21st. Stay tuned for more event details and class schedules.
