Gateway is bordered on the west by Macleod Trail SE then by 3rd Street SE; on the north by Riverfront Avenue; on the east by 4th Street SE; and to the south by 7th Avenue SE.

Gateway links East Village to the world from many directions; it’s the first thing you see when you enter the city along Memorial Drive from the airport and it connects EV to Bridgeland and to eastern downtown. People working out at the YWCA or sweating through exams at Bow Valley College will enter EV in comfort via Gateway’s Plus 15s in winter and the area will surround the Drop-In Center with activity and life. A long stretch of Gateway borders the RiverWalk, and residents of area condominiums will enjoy great views out over the promenade to the river.
