#RememberTheEddy

In celebration of Studio Bell opening in East Village on July 1, we’re resurrecting stories of one of Calgary’s most iconic heritage buildings - plus giving away VIP passes to the Bell Live Series at the King Eddy.

Follow and Play Along

Beginning June 22 through the opening of Studio Bell on July 1, our EV social media channels will be filled with snippets about the King Eddy Hotel, its storied past, and telling the tale of how it spearheaded the vision of Studio Bell, Home of the National Music Centre. For history buffs and curious newcomers alike, we invite you to follow along!

While watching the Eddy timeline on EV social media, keep an eye out for social media challenges that allow you to participate in welcoming Studio Bell to the neighbourhood. They are meant to be both thought-provoking and interactive. But best of all, taking part might just win you one of 10 VIP Packages to The Bell Live Series at the King Eddy – the hottest pop-up Stampede party in town. Don’t forget to use #RememberTheEddy to make sure your entry is received. We’ll be watching you on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Check back here often in case you missed the latest challenge.

Studio Bell, Home of the National Music Centre - Moments Away from the Awe

East Village, get ready to rock! Studio Bell, home of the National Music Centre (NMC), is opening its rather impressive doors. And what better way to welcome the first national cultural institution dedicated to celebrating music than on Canada Day.

Bell Canada – Studio Bell’s premier founding partner – is offering free public admission on July 1 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Special Canada Day programming will also be on tap - expect a few surprises! The opening marks the first of several celebrations that NMC has planned over the coming months.
