Feb 18 2013 10:00 am
Fun for the entire family in East Village, and it's free!

Enjoy free winter fun at Fort Calgary to celebrate Family Day!

Activities will include carnival games, crafts, a trasure hunt, facepainting, plus theatre plays, cartoons and movies in the Burnwest theatre. Outdoor events will include winter games and maple syrup candy-making (weather-permitting).

For more information check out Fort Calgary's website here

Fort Calgary is located on 40 acres of parkland on the eastern edge of downtown Calgary. Discover the colourful stories of Calgary's past from 1875-1914 at a lively Interpetive Centre. Experience both sides of the law as you try on an authentic RCMP unifrom or spend some time in jail. Take a short talk across the Elbow River to The Deane House, the lovingly-restored historic home of the NWMP Captain Richard Deane, now operating as a restaurant.

*They are expecting a large crowd, so strollers are not permitted, thanks.
