Chinese New Year is around the corner, and East Village is celebrating!
On Saturday and Sunday February 9 and 10, the East Village Sales and Experience Centre welcomes what Chinese language-learning site HanBan.com calls “the enigmatic, introspective, refined and collected” animal sign.
Apparently people born in the Year of the Snake have a sure touch with money: if you come to the East Village Sales and Experience Centre, you can enter our Red Packet Contest to win a $500 Visa gift card, a very good way to start the year.
In ancient times, the presence of a snake in the house was a good omen; the family would not go hungry. On the 9th and 10th, YYC food trucks will be in attendance, so you’ll definitely not starve.
Luck is key to all good things in life, and the first 100 visitors will receive a lucky bamboo plant that’ll grow with your ambitions for the year.
And since music soothes savage beasts of all sorts, traditional Chinese harp performances will be held from noon to 4 daily.
The start of the Year of the Snake is the perfect time to visit the EV Sales and Experience Centre on the beautiful Bow riverfront, check out our show suites and enjoy the celebrations. Happy New Year!
